Almost there!

Rodney has discovered his feet this week. He is now trying his hardest to get them into his mouth and is starting to get a little frustrated. He just can't quite make it there. So he gets about an inch away from his mouth and either his hand is in the way and he ends up sucking on his fist while holding his foot, or he straightens his leg out and lets out a wail to let me know he isn't happy. I just have to laugh because it is so dang cute.

update!
Horrible I know a month and a half of no posts. To my defense we didn't have internet for all but minus one week of that, but here you go! Pictures galore!
Rodney's Blessing

Rodney was blessed today on his 3 month birthday by Mark. Mark did such a good job, and Rodney was awake and perfectly content even after he spit his binky out right as they were starting. It fell to the floor so it is a good thing he was content because there wasn't a backup plan. And with his lungs and a microphone nearby the whole congregation would have had hearing loss immediately I am sure.
This is rodney in his outfit that Mom made. I think that it is the cutest little outfit I have ever seen for a little man. Mom even made the little collared shirt and tie to match. There is also a suit coat but I am just so impressed by this shirt I am posting a picture that really showcases it. Isn't it just darling! I was so worried that he would have a blow out or spit-up all over it so I was sure to feed him only a little bit before Sacrament meeting and change him right before I dressed him. Thank you so much Mom for spending the time to do this for us. We really appreciate it!
This is our family picture today. Rodney was looking into the kitchen like he is waiting for the food to be served for the yummy Easter feast that we potlucked with everybody that came so far! We had a great turn out.
This is everybody in the McFadden clan that could make it. Mom, Dad, Brandon and Sarah, Michael and Shelly, Ryan and Lindsay, and Justin and Sarah. With all of us we doubled if not tripled the ward today.
This is everybody in Marks Family that came too, Mom and Mark, Michael, and Unle Rico. Mandy sadly is in West Virginia and couldn't make it. We missed you!

Here are all the men that were in the circle minus Jacob Myers...where is he? I have no idea. And Bishop Bagley of course. But he is a busy man I have to say. Left to right: Justin, Michael, Mike, Mark and Rodney, Brandon, Ryan, Dad, and Royal.

The picture at the top should be down here but I don't know how to make it do that, so there it stays. That is Rodney when we got home tonight. He was so tired that he put himself to sleep while he was laying on his back. He never does that. When he is on his back he just kicks and waves his hands around so much that he gets tired but just cries. Never falls asleep. He is just out cold. I think he just might sleep through the night tonight. What do you think? This blessing stuff sure is tiring!
Getting Bigger!
This is the first time he let me take a picture of him smiling while I was taking the picture, this was just today 3 months old exactly.
I love this picture of his eyes, he just looks so big to me here. He definately isn't looking like a newborn to me anymore.

This is when our realtor Kay is holding him and Dick, her husband, was playing with him. Rodney just loves them. It is so cute!

Brandon put Rodney up in a corner on Justin and Sarah's couch yesterday and he was just so content looking around and sucking on his blanket. He will suck on his hand or a blanket if I don't have the binky in his mouth. I think that in spite of my efforts to not have a finger sucker I will eventually have one anyway. Most of the time he just sucks on his knuckles but he is now figuring out how to put his pointer finger in his mouth. He has only found his thumb a couple of times and no other fingers yet; we will just have to see...

He discovered his hands last week. It was so funny on the way to Utah to visit Mom and Dad, he was looking at his hands just like this and trying to grab each hand at the same time. I don't know how to explain it very well, but he would look at his left hand and then his right hand and then grab the other hands. Sometimes it would look like he was getting ready to pray but most of the time it just looked really funny. Oh that still didn't make any sense, just know it was cute too.
I just can't believe that he is getting so big. I just look at him and hold him all of the time. I think I am creating quite a monster, but I can't resist. I just don't want to waste any of this time. One kid this age will never happen again. I love that he is recognizing me. I love that he knows when I am holding him and not somebody else. I love that I can get him to smile more than anybody else. I love that as soon as I put him in our position he just falls right to sleep. I love this little boy more than I ever thought I could. 3 months has gone way too fast!

So we were hoping for the house near the college pictured before, but it has completely fell through about 3 weeks ago. Here's the play by play, we bid on the house, won the bid, bid was wrong so we had to cancel it. Waited a week and a half to bid again, won the bid again, sent in contract, contract was sent back because we didn't initial something about mold on the property when there isn't any mold on the property and above where we were "supposed" to initial said "initial where applicable" so we didn't initial...STUPID HUD PEOPLE!, sent in another contract signed the stupid mold place (we were quite irritated by this point but it's all part of the process right??? no), then they tell us that there is lead base paint on the outside of the property. Not listed anywhere on the property details where they should be online...STUPID HUD PEOPLE! AND... a STUPID HUD CONTRACTOR bids $18,000.00, yes $18,000 to repaint and seal the exterior of a 750 sq ft home. So the moral of the story is: NEVER BID ON A HUD HOME! This may not sound so bad because that doesn't mean that we would have had to pay the rediculous amount of $18,000 to fix it, but we were getting the FHA financing because of the new $100 down if you give the full asking price. And since the $18,000 bid was more than 15% of the homes value we would have had to go for an uninsured loan. So we would have had to come up with a significant down and fix the paint within 10 days of closing. Therefore, we are back where we started. Renting a unit below Mellow Yellow sleeping on an air mattress, no other furniture in the apartment, and using a laundromat. We have to have all of our stuff in a storage unit because we cant fit it down the little hallway and we don't want to be here for very long. I could hack it if I didn't have a baby to haul to the laudromat and a baby to get my clothes dirty within hours of putting it on. Life was much easier living here without a baby, but I would much rather have Rodney than living here easily so it is worth it. Anyway, that is my long and frustrating last couple of months, hope it made sense to you in all my rambling...
