Wedding cake

Here is a wedding cake that I delivered on Saturday to a beautiful property in Estes Park. I am extremely excited about this cake because now I feel much more comfortable about doing cakes this size in my small kitchen and I am hoping to get a few more orders for cakes in the near future! I had a lot of fun with this one and it didn't seem to be near as much work as Grandma's birthday cake. Probably because it wasn't being done in the middle of a reunion.... ;) Sadly I walked out the door without my camera so these are taken with a cell phone camera. :( The tiered cake is made of chocolate cake with a whipped ganache filling and the middle tier has buttercream filling. The sheet cake is a marble cake with raspberry filling. I also now have figured out cake recipes that I love and will be using from here on. No more experimenting for me!
